TalkTalk Digital Voice lets TalkTalk customers using ultrafast broadband use their mobile phone to make and receive calls with their TalkTalk landline number.
Before the app can be used your TalkTalk account must be activated for use with the app. Please see your email from TalkTalk that describes how you can do this.
All calls will be charged at the same rates as on the TalkTalk service on your TalkTalk account. Call plans such as Unlimited UK Calls or International Max will be treated the same as on the phone offering potentially free voice calls (see details on the tariffs that relate to your TalkTalk call plan). Calls made with the app will use data on your mobile, so mobile data rates will apply if used on a mobile network, but Wi-Fi can also be used.
TalkTalk voice services such as voicemail and CallSafe will work in the same way on the app as on a phone connect to TalkTalk Digital Voice.
The app can be downloaded on up to five mobile phones and settings that control ringing and notifications can be accessed through the app on each device.
This app is not recommended for emergency call access. In the event that an emergency number (e.g. 999) is dialled, the app will automatically switch to the standard call handling service on your mobile handset, which will require mobile network coverage.
